FD Calculator (India)
Work out the maturity value of a bank fixed deposit (FD) in India. Enter your deposit amount, interest rate and tenure, and the calculator compounds it quarterly to show the maturity amount and the interest earned. Tick the senior-citizen option to add the usual rate bonus.
Estimate only — FD rates vary by bank, tenure and amount and change often. Not financial or tax advice.
Частые вопросы
How is FD maturity calculated?+
Cumulative bank FDs are compounded quarterly: A = P·(1 + r/4)^(4·t). For example, ₹1,00,000 at 6.75% for 5 years matures to roughly ₹1,39,800.
Do senior citizens get a higher rate?+
Yes. Senior citizens usually earn about 0.25%–0.50% more than the general public on the same FD. Tick the senior-citizen option to add 0.50% to the rate.
Is TDS deducted on FD interest?+
Banks deduct TDS at 10% (20% without PAN) once your FD interest in a financial year exceeds ₹50,000 for general depositors, or ₹1,00,000 for senior citizens. FD interest is taxable even below that threshold — TDS is only withholding.
